About Us

Guthiddai is a family-run Agriturismo in Sardinia, close to both sea and mountains.

This rustic yet cared-for location will offer you a relaxing stay immersed in unspoilt nature, culture and simple food.

Guthiddai was built at the end of the 50s and back then it was just a countryside house.
The love for the land lived through the next generations who, starting in 1998, converted what once was just a barn into a rest stop for tourists from all over the world.

Gianluca and Antonella keep on taking care of their grandpa’s vegetable garden, olive grope and vineyard. The produce grown is used to prepare the tasty dishes of the restaurant.

The typical Sardinian cuisine is one of the strongest points of Guthiddai, that strives to offer you the most authentic flavours of Barbagia.
Did you know that these traditional dishes are one of Sardinia’s secrets to longevity?
This area was identified as a “Blue Zone”, one of the few places in the world where people live longer, up to over 100 years!

The Floris family wishes you to have the best time in Guthiddai and it is always available to help you to make the most of your stay.

From the Agriturismo you can explore the wild and rugged land of Barbagia, a great spot to trek by foot or jeeps, and enjoy lunch with shepherds in ‘sos Pinnetthus’, their peculiar mountain houses.

For adventure lovers, we suggest rock climbing and kayaking in Cedrino’s waters, which will also allow to admire some enchanting landscapes that are impossible to reach by land.

Not to be missed: the striking view of the eastern coast, just 17 km away from here. You’ll find heavenly beaches like Cala Luna and Goloritzè and the amazing “Sea Ox” Caves, where Mediterranean monk seals used to rest and give birth to their pups.

The Agriturismo is also quite close to some of the most quaint villages of Sardinia’s hinterland.

From here, you can visit the museum and native house of Nobel Prize Laureate Grazie Deledda – the only Italian woman to ever receive one up to this day -, admire the vivid murals of Orgosolo’s streets, go to Mamoiada and learn about the Mamuthones and other traditional Carnival masks of the Mediterranean area.

This summer try a different holiday in the heart of this island, that has more to offer than just seaside and 5 star hotels!

“L’ospitalità sincera fa sentire l’ospite a casa propria”
